Shared Content

Shared Content pieces are block documents, such as a team section or legal notes, managed under Settings → Content → Shared Content (permission: Manage shared content pieces). Edit a piece once and every page embedding it updates.

Creating a piece

Click New shared content, give it a name for the picker and build its content. Switching off Active removes it everywhere without deleting it.

Embedding a piece

Add the Shared Content block and pick an active piece. It renders inline in .rc-shared. Inactive or deleted pieces render nothing, circular embeds render an HTML comment, and pieces nest at most three levels deep.

Copying a piece to another site

Each site keeps its own version of a piece; the block's picker prefers the current site's version. Copy to site on the edit page copies name, description, content and active state, and asks before overwriting an existing version.
